  Assam groups threaten to block entry to Meghalaya Garo Hills:  Forty  different Assam groups have threatened to block all routes leading to Garo Hills District of Meghalaya. The Assam groups have threatened to block routes from October 29. The decision comes in the wake of the continued restrictions that restrict the entry of people to Meghalaya. Various organizations like All Assam Students Union (AASU), All Bodo Students Union (ABSU), All Moron Trade Students Union (AMSU), and other trade associations. The student body which met at the Golpara District of Assam to initiate the decision. They have urged the states to hold discussions to facilitate movement between the states. However, the Editors Guild has also admonished the channel to foster a more responsible attitude. The intervention from the Editors Guild came after the Mumbai Police had registered FIR against prominent members of the channel. The organization requested the authorities to stop the “victimization of journalists”. The investigation carried out should not ultimately result in the suppression of press rights.  Jammu and Kashmir police Monday detained three BJP leaders from Kupwara who tried raise tricolour at the Clock tower, Lal Chowk, Srinagar, officials said. They said that three BJP leaders from the party’s  Kupwara unit reached Lal Chowk, near clock tower ( Ghanta Ghar) this morning. The three included the party spokesman from Kupwara Mir Basharat, and two other leaders—Mir Ishfaq and Akhtar Khan. Before they were stopped by police, Basharat said they came to  Lal Chowk to hoist Tricolour to send a message to members of Peoples Alliance for Gupkar declaration that only national flag will remain in Kashmir. “Today we came to celebrate the day when Maharaja Hari Singh signed the instrument of accession with the Centre. Our message is for Mehbooba Mufti, Omar Abdullah and all other members of PAGD, that only tricolour will be unfurled in Kashmir,” he said. As per the latest order, the amendments have been made in article 226 (2) of J&K Civil Services regulation to make regular register. The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has made a new revelation regarding the plausibility of reinfection. The second wave of infection can occur when the antibodies of the patients will begin to deplete.   Trivandrum:   Kerala Chief Minister , Pinarayi Vijayan has responded to the Union Health Minister’s remarks on the state’s Covid prevention strategy. The CM has responded that some people cannot focus on the state’s achievements on the low Covid mortality rate. Instead, they are in the pursuit of defaming the state. Earlier, Harsh Vardhan had criticized the state for easing restrictions during the Onam festivities. The ease of restrictions had contributed to a spike of Covid cases in Kerala. Sabarimala will Accept 1000 devotees daily; No Online Darshan. October 8, 2020     Princy Cycil Trivandrum: The state government has finally reached a conclusion to allow devotees to visit the Sabarimala but with strict adherence to COVID Protocol. This year’s Mandalam-Makaravilakku season will only see 1000 devotees daily. However, on auspicious days such as Mandala Puja and Makaravilakku, the devotee list can extend up to 5000. On Saturdays and Sundays, the government allows around 2000 devotees. There will be no scope for online Darshan or puja. The government and Devasam Board did not comply with the recommendation, in this regard, put forth by the Chief Secretary and his team. Devotees need to register through the COVID Jagratha Portal and furnish the COVID negative certificate, taken within a timeframe of 48 hours.
