Sabarimala will Accept 1000 devotees daily; No Online Darshan.

Trivandrum: The state government has finally reached a conclusion to allow devotees to visit the Sabarimala but with strict adherence to COVID Protocol. This year’s Mandalam-Makaravilakku season will only see 1000 devotees daily. However, on auspicious days such as Mandala Puja and Makaravilakku, the devotee list can extend up to 5000. On Saturdays and Sundays, the government allows around 2000 devotees.

There will be no scope for online Darshan or puja. The government and Devasam Board did not comply with the recommendation, in this regard, put forth by the Chief Secretary and his team.

Devotees need to register through the COVID Jagratha Portal and furnish the COVID negative certificate, taken within a timeframe of 48 hours. The devotees will have to take the antigen test at Nilakkal. The traditional bath at Pampa will no longer be available, owing to the ongoing pandemic. Sabarimala shrine is set to open by October 16.
